#Squarch 26: Rat’s Gone to Rest

It’s the 26th of #Squarch, and I spent some time out in the chicken coop last night installing a security camera so I could see if there’s a rat getting into the coop and eating the food. I found a hole a while ago and blocked it up, but rats are smart and persistent; we’ll see. So today’s tune is Rat’s Gone to Rest, from George Hawkins (who apparently gave it the sub-title “with d-CON”).

I’m not sure where I picked this up. Maybe at the Wedgwood Alehouse jam? It’s a simple little tune and easy to learn on the fly, so it’s a good jam tune. I’ve also listened to this seven-minute-long recording a bunch, so there’s probably something of them in my version. Accompaniment is still Strum Machine:
